It's hard to believe we're already seven weeks into the 2015 Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge! Here's a quick update on the program and some highlights from the past week. Remember, it's not too late to register your child or students to join in on all the fun.
- Kids from around the world have read over 117 million minutes so far!
- Scholastic participated in two social media chats this week about summer learning. On Wednesday we joined the #everychildneeds chat, hosted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and on Thursday, we joined the #NEAReads chat on summer reading, hosted by the National Education Association. Check out the great conversation (and loads of ideas and free resources) on both hashtags.
- Patrik Henry Bass’ story (#5 in the collection) was unlocked Monday. Read The One and Only Jason Adams, Slayer & Sleuth here. We absolutely love this one!
