Attention educators! Enter the Dav Pilkey Summer Reading Educator Contest for a chance to win 500 books

Calling all educators! Want to win free books for your school? Starting today, educators are invited to enter the Dav Pilkey Summer Reading Educator Contest for a chance to win a set of 500 books for their school to help kick off students’ summer reading. One eligible school from each U.S. state, territory, and D.C. will receive a variety of popular Scholastic titles. To enter, click here.

The contest is simple: In 500 characters or less, tell us about your school and the need for new books to help students keep reading over the summer. The contest is in support of the 2017 Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge, a free, global, online and mobile summer reading program designed to help kids turn the “summer slide” – the learning losses which can occur over the summer months – into a “summer leap” by discovering the power and joy of reading for fun. The contest deadline: April 14, 2017.

Last summer, more than 4,000 educators entered the first-ever Dav Pilkey Summer Reading Educator Contest.

Save the dates: Pre-registration for the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge for educators, libraries and community partners begins April 3rd. Full site opens for kids and families on May 8th. Learn more: scholastic.com/summer
