From animated story times, to creative arts and crafts sessions, to even giant board games, parents proudly proved that Take Your Child to the Library Day was full of adventures.
Officially held on the first Saturday in February every year, Take Your Child to the Library Day (TYCLD) is an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to visit the local library. Launched in 2012, TYCLD raises community awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child, and promotes library services and programs for children and families.
Scholastic celebrated by asking parents to share their library adventure photo for a chance to win a special collection of picture books to enjoy as a family. Take a peek at some of the excitement happening at local libraries across the nation for Take Your Child to the Library Day!
