DIY: literary-inspired pumpkins

Pumpkins are on practically every doorstep in New York City this time of year. But they all look the same—orange, round, simple. They look lovely, but they don't exactly make a statement.

Well, I recently stumbled upon some incredible pumpkins that are inspired by characters and themes in literature—everything from Clifford the Big Red Dog to Dumbledore to the Mockingjay symbol, blazing in orange and yellow light. Should you decide to take on any one of these creations, I guarantee your pumpkin will be the talk of the neighborhood. I mean, there has got to be a line down the street and around the corner to see this Harry Potter pumpkin (pictured above).
