It's hard to forget the images we've all seen of Syrian refugees fleeing their country in search of safety for their families. The ongoing crisis in Syria has reached a critical point, and globally, Scholastic is committed to offering aid and support. Now, we're donating $25,000 to Save the Children, earmarked for Syrian refugee relief, and we're offering matching donations (up to an additional $25,000) for employees.
Long term, once the immediate needs of shelter, food, and safety have been met, the Company will continue to work with Save the Children to deliver books and educational materials, including My Arabic Library collections (a unique Arabic-language classroom library program for grades 1 through 6), to schools and families in need.
