Reading resolutions: a mid-year check-in

The summer is finally in full swing, which means the year is nearly half over. (As of this writing, there are only 179 days left until Christmas!) That also means now is the perfect time to check in on our reading resolutions, and I’m excited to say that I’ve stuck to mine so far!

As you may recall, I pledged to read a book a month, and I’m right on track. Here's a list of the books I've read in 2015 up to this point:

  • Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz
  • Shopgirl by Steve Martin
  • Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien
  • Someone Could Get Hurt by Drew Magary
  • Fresh Off the Boat by Eddie Huang
  • The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
  • George by Alex Gino
  • The Princess and the Pony by Kate Beaton

And I’ve read every issue of G. Willow Wilson’s Ms. Marvel series that’s been published so far this year!

Here are the next few books waiting on my nightstand:

  • The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
  • Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh
  • Matilda by Roald Dahl

Have you been keeping up with your reading resolution?
